Wednesday, July 31st – Reduced fire activity combined with the flow of clean Pacific air into the region has greatly improved air quality. Today will have sunny skies and seasonal temperatures along with some daytime winds, but tomorrow will be hot with very little wind as high-pressure returns. Current wind patterns should keep most of the wildfire smoke out of our area before poor ventilation allows residual smoke from wildfires to accumulate and increase fine particulate (PM-2.5) levels by tomorrow night. Air quality will hopefully remain in the AQI-Good range for most of Wednesday and Thursday. /MCKAY
