Current Conditions at 3 p.m. EST this Thursday afternoon: Temperatures are beginning their downhill slide on gusty northwest winds as an Arctic cold front has passed through. PM2.5 is expected to remain in the good range Friday with moderate air quality to prevail over the weekend with lessening surface winds. Here are the forecast details: *** Friday’s forecast: Turning out partly sunny Friday as temperatures struggle in the upper 20s. Air quality will remain good with PM2.5 increases Friday night. *** Extended forecast: Moderate PM2.5 is expected Saturday and Sunday as skies remain mostly cloudy and temperatures moderate into the middle 30s. Rain and snow showers are expected Saturday. Higher relative humidity and light winds will also contribute to increases in PM2.5. The next cold front coming through will result in periods of snow Sunday into Sunday night. Turning colder with good air quality Monday. The storm track remains an active one, so more in the way of snow may occur Tuesday. Good air quality will occur Monday and Tuesday.---McAuliffe
