Ozone forecasts will resume April 2027. *** Current Conditions: A strong storm is spinning along the New England coastline today, bringing plenty of clouds, a light northerly breeze, and good air quality for ozone and fine particulate matter (PM2.5). *** Tuesday: The area of low pressure that brought clouds and rain over the past several days will depart out to sea. Aside from some lingering low clouds and some patchy valley fog Tuesday morning, gradual clearing is expected. Air quality will remain good for both PM2.5 and ozone. *** Extended Forecast: High pressure will settle over the Mid-Atlantic midweek, causing unseasonably warm, dry and tranquil conditions. Air quality will remain good on Wednesday, but PM2.5 could creep into the moderate range on Thursday as high pressure brings continued light winds, early morning fog, and afternoon sunshine. High temperatures will be in the middle 70s Wednesday and the upper 70s to lower 80s Thursday. A cold front is expected to sweep through the region on Friday. This will bring the return of rain, which will have a positive effect on air quality this weekend.--Curtis
