PM2.5 - 52 Moderate
If you are unusually sensitive to particle pollution, consider reducing your activity level or shorten the amount of time you are active outdoors.
Current Conditions: At 3 p.m. EST this Monday afternoon, skies are on the cloudy side with temperatures hovering into the lower 30s. Good air quality in relation to fine particle pollution (PM2.5) prevails in most locations, but a few spots have low moderate readings. PM2.5 will average in the high good to lower moderate range Tuesday, then improve to the good range the remainder of the week. Windy and colder Thursday into Friday with wind chills lowering to the teens. Here are the forecast details: *** Tuesday’s forecast: High pressure building in Tuesday will allow for a little sun to break through the cloud cover at times. However, temperatures only recover to the middle 30s at best. A light west wind might not be enough to keep PM2.5 concentrations below the low moderate range. *** Extended forecast: A cold front approaches Wednesday and brings a period of snow late Wednesday and Wednesday night. Accumulations of snow may reach close to an inch in parts of the area. Windy and cold Thursday and Friday with snow showers likely continuing Thursday. Temperatures may remain in the upper 20s with wind chills in the lower teens. Temperatures may moderate more towards normal by Sunday. Good air quality will prevail Wednesday into the weekend.---McAuliffe
