As a result, fine particle (PM2.5) formation has been limited. A north to northwest flow will continue through the upcoming weekend with mainly good air quality but with below normal temperatures for the last few days of May. Here are the forecast details: *** Friday’s forecast: Mostly sunny Friday with a nice afternoon weather wise as temperatures move into the middle 70s. An adequate amount of mixing and low humidity keeps PM2.5 down inside the good range. *** Extended forecast: Mostly sunny with a cool north wind Saturday. Strong mixing and clean background air will mean low PM2.5 values. Highs will only reach the upper 60s. A large area of high pressure nosing into the area from southern Canada will keep us rain free into early next week with temperatures slightly below average.
