Aside from some lingering low clouds Tuesday morning, gradual clearing is expected. The combination of a light northwest wind and morning cloud cover will keep ozone in the good range, and PM2.5 will be in the high-end good range. Highs will be in the mid-70s. *** Extended Forecast: High pressure will settle over the Mid-Atlantic midweek, causing warm, dry and tranquil conditions. Air quality for ozone and PM2.5 will reach the low-end moderate category as the flow becomes westerly and full sunshine heats the ground. Temperatures will be bordering 80 degrees. Moderate air quality will continue into Thursday with high pressure remaining in control. Full afternoon sunshine will warm the air into the lower 80s Thursday afternoon. Moderate air quality may also persist into Friday, but a cold front will bring the return of good air quality this weekend with more clouds and rain.--Curtis
