OZONE - 25 Good
Enjoy your outdoor activities.
Other Pollutants:
PM2.5 - 19 Good
Current Conditions: At 2 p.m. EST this Wednesday afternoon, skies were partly sunny with temperatures still on the mild side. Light and limited mixing with higher relative humidity has allowed fine particle (PM2.5) concentrations to remain in the moderate range. A strong cold front is pushing through the Ohio valley and will pass through the area tonight with much needed rainfall. Colder air will then sweep in behind the front and remain with us through the weekend, with the first snowflakes of the season Thursday night into early Friday. Here are the forecast details: *** Thursday’s forecast: Breezy and colder Thursday with mostly cloudy skies and rain showers arriving during the afternoon. High temperatures will remain in the upper 40s. Brisk surface winds should allow for lower levels of particle pollution. *** Extended forecast: Low pressure is expected to rotate southward into Pennsylvania Friday with snow showers turning to rain showers late in the morning. Highs Friday will struggle to get above the 40-degree mark. Enough mixing along with the precipitation should keep air quality good. Breezy and chilly Saturday with more clouds than sun, then high pressure builds in Sunday, allowing for increasing sunshine. The next chance for rain is expected late Monday or Monday night. Good air quality will continue over the weekend.---McAuliffe
