Current Conditions at 4 p.m. EDT this Monday afternoon: A few early morning showers followed a cold front that previously moved through the region. A few showers and storms are still popping in the area, with lower dewpoints and temperatures in the low 80s. Ozone will stay within the good range, while PM2.5 just crosses into the moderate. Here are the forecast details: *** Tuesday’s forecast: After some early morning fog, partly sunny skies dominate as high pressure settles to the west, bringing in drier dewpoints. Temperatures in the lower 80s will again bring a pleasant feel throughout the day. Ozone sees more of the good range, while PM2.5 just goes into the moderate. *** Extended forecast: Showers and storms developing in the afternoon Wednesday following partly sunny skies. Dewpoints begin to climb again as temperatures linger right at the 80 degree mark, with light southwesterly winds helping to provide some relief. Thursday sees similar conditions, while Friday will get a break in the rain with mostly sunny skies. However, this is short lived as rainfall will return again come the weekend. Ozone will stay within the good range for much of the week with potential to rise near the latter half, dependent on total sunshine and cloud coverage ratio. PM2.5 will elevate further into the moderate Wednesday, and oscillate between high good and low moderate for the remainder of the week. --- Schmalenberger
