Skies will be overcast today, winds will be from the north, reaching speeds near 15 mph with gusts over 20 mph, and mixing heights will reach above 3000 ft. Tomorrow will bring mostly clear skies and varied winds, reaching near 10 mph. Mixing heights will rise as the weekend begins, reaching near 4000 ft. As we enter next week, winds will shift to be primarily from the southwest, with speeds near 10 mph and gusts near 20 mph. Mixing heights will drop, reaching near 3000 ft at most on Monday. Cloud cover will increase again and Monday will bring another chance of rain. The Canadian and NOAA 6Z BC models agree on good PM2.5 over the next few days, a decrease compared to recent values. The NOAA 6Z BC model shows the region moving back into the moderate range on Sunday, while the Canadian keeps the good forecast another day. Moderate PM2.5 buildup will not be likely at the beginning of the period, after a cold front moved through the region, but it will be possible at the start of next week as a surface high moves in and winds slow down.
