Today will be greatly unsettled across the area as first a warm front lifts north over the area this afternoon, followed by a strong cold front moving through this evening into the early overnight hours. SPC has the area outlooked for all forms of severe weather tonight. The front will clean out the area very well and knock back both Ozone and PM2.5 numbers. As surface high pressure builds in for the north central states, and post frontal passage, only expect cooler highs in the upper 70's for both Thursday and Friday. Expect increasing clouds tomorrow with breezy west winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 20 mph. Conditions will be sunny for Friday with breezy conditions once again, from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Mixing heights today are around 3200 ft, and for tomorrow and Friday are around 5000 ft. Both the Canadian and 06Z BC NOAA Model are going with Good straight across the board through Friday for both Ozone and PM2.5 which bodes well with persistence and the current forecast through Friday. After the unstable day today/tonight, the area will be well cleaned out and breezy for Thursday and Friday. See no need to stray from guidance.
