PM2.5 - 43 Good
Enjoy your outdoor activities.
Other Pollutants:
OZONE - 30 Good
This week began with some moderate air quality measurements, with mostly moderate ozone and a couple of moderate PM2.5 readings. After Monday, both pollutants fell into the good range for the rest of the week. Temperatures will reach the upper 50's today, with mostly cloudy skies and a chance of scattered rain beginning later in the day. Winds will be primarily from the southwest and below 10 mph, and mixing heights will rise above 3000 ft. Tomorrow will bring warmer temperatures, with highs in the upper 60's. Skies will be partly cloudy, scattered rain will still be a possibility, and winds will be primarily from the west, reaching speeds near 15 mph with gusts near 25 mph. Mixing heights will increase as we enter the weekend, reaching near 5000 ft at most. Temperatures will begin to drop again on Sunday as a cold front moves through, with highs in the low 60's. Winds will become more varied and reach speeds near 10 mph at most, with gusts over 15 mph. Skies will become mostly sunny and mixing heights will reach around 6000 ft. Monday will bring very similar conditions. Temperatures will continue to fall, with highs in the low 50's, and skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will be primarily from the north at this point, reaching speeds near 10 mph with gusts near 20 mph. The next chance of rain will be Tuesday. The Canadian model shows all good air quality throughout the period, consistent with recent observations. The NOAA 6Z BC model begins with higher values, with a mix of good and moderate for both pollutants today, but decreases into the good range by Sunday. Given recent measurements, the scattered rain chances, and a decrease in temperature later in the period, ozone buildup will not be likely. PM2.5 buildup will also become less likely as rain moves through the region, and as a cold front enters the region over the weekend.
