PM2.5 has been in the good range over the past couple of days. Today will bring temperatures reaching the upper 40's at the warmest. Skies will be mostly cloudy, scattered rain chances will persist throughout the day, and dewpoints will fall into the 30's. Winds will be primarily from the northwest, reaching speeds near 15 mph with gusts over 20 mph, and mixing heights will rise above 3000 ft. Tomorrow will see slightly warmer temperatures while dewpoints stay in the low 30's. Skies will still be mostly cloudy. Winds will be primarily from the northwest, reaching speeds near 10 mph, and mixing heights will rise above 3000 ft once again. Temperatures will continue to increase as we enter next week; Sunday will see highs in the upper 50's and dewpoints in the 30's. Cloud cover will start to decrease during this time, resulting in mostly clear skies. Winds will shift to be primarily from the west, reaching speeds over 10 mph with gusts near 20 mph, and mixing heights will reach near 3000 ft at most. These conditions will continue on Monday. Skies will be mostly clear, and highs will reach near 60 degrees. Dewpoints will start to climb again, reaching near 40 degrees. Winds will be primarily from the southwest at this point, reaching speeds near 10 mph with gusts over 15 mph, and mixing heights will stay below 3000 ft. The Canadian model shows good PM2.5 throughout the period, consistent with recent values. The NOAA 6Z BC model also shows good PM2.5 for today and tomorrow, and then an increase into the moderate range on Sunday. Given recent conditions, and today's scattered rain, PM2.5 buildup will continue to be unlikely for a couple more days. However, as we see a break in rain at the beginning of next week, as well as decreasing wind speeds and a transition to relatively more stagnant conditions, the likelihood of moderate PM2.5 buildup will increase.
