Daily Air Quality Forecast for Amo, Indiana

Weather Forecast Discussion Latest surface analysis depicts a nearly stationary boundary across northern Indiana. This boundary will drop south as a cold front later this evening and drop even farther south of the state by midnight. In the meantime, enjoy the spring-like weather, with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower to middle 60’s. A few southwest gusts up to 20 mph will be possible during the afternoon. For tomorrow, and post frontal passage, expect much cooler highs in the low to mid-40’s. Skies will be sunny though with northeast wind of 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday night through Wednesday will have likely rain chances return in the forecast as a wave moves through the area. The area could see lingering chances even into early Thursday. Winds will also again gust to around 20 mph. Then high pressure builds in, and Friday looks mostly sunny but cool with highs in the upper 30’s and low 40’s. Generally used a blend of the EURO/GFS and partly the NAM for the beginning of the period The Firework smoke model shows very little if at all anything, so no impacts for the Hoosier state. The Canadian model is going with Good through Wednesday, most likely because the winds stay up and then the likelihood of rain on Wednesday. The 06Z NOAA Model is going with Moderate for today for both Terre Haute and Indy, Good for tomorrow and Wednesday, which also sort of agrees with the forecast, especially based on persistence. Thinking is that persistence has shown that these sites can still get to Moderate even with a little gusty wind. So am going to plan on leaning closer to the NOAA model and go with Moderate for today and then Good for the rest of the period.
