This morning, PM10 (dust) levels are elevated at the Yuma monitor. You may also see a haze in/around the area. Breezy winds out of the southeast have resulted in dust moving into the Yuma area. PM10 levels should improve later in the morning.
This week, ozone levels are forecast in the Good AQI category because of southerly (out of the south) winds each day. PM10 (dust) and PM2.5 (smoke) will also remain mostly locally driven, and actually limited by the winds, which can help to reduce local morning build-up.
However, there may be another small chance for wind-driven dust later in the week, so we'll keep an eye on that possibility.
Check back tomorrow for the latest.
