A low pressure system centered over northern California will lead to another breezy to windy afternoon today. As the system begins to move eastward, there will be less breeziness Friday. High temperatures will be below normal. High pressure begins to slowly build over the region on Saturday and a light wind pattern will take hold for several days. There will also be a warming trend beginning Saturday.

Peak 8 hour average Ozone is anticipated to remain in the Moderate range but with an uptrend starting Saturday with values approaching the threshold for Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups on Monday. j

Though there may be some brief, localized pockets of dust near construction sites this afternoon. the 24 hour average PM10 levels are anticipated to be in the upper part of the Good range. Friday is also expected to be in the upper Good range with conditions improving over the weekend due to a routine decline in construction activities. Readings tick up on Monday but are anticipated to still be in the Good range. Of note, there will be short lived periods (mainly in the mornings) with elevated hourly readings. If they wind up being a little higher than expected Friday, then the 24 hour average would wind up in the Moderate range.

Daily average PM2.5 values are expected to remain in the low Moderate range with routine transportation and industrial activities.
