Ozone on Friday reached the lower Moderate AQI category before returning to the Good AQI range through the weekend. Good AQI values are forecast through the week with values slightly rising through the next few days as more sunshine returns. Friday could see a decrease in ozone levels because of strong winds that could help transport concentrations in Yuma, but that will be reviewed through the week.
PM10 and PM2.5 were in the Good AQI range through the weekend. Today's nearby rainfall will help limit how much of an impact PM10 has from brief increases in wind. Tomorrow's PM10 could have higher values because stronger winds are possible as the area of low pressure starts to reach western Arizona. After Tuesday, the next chance for increases in PM10 will be on Friday when stronger east/northeast winds are forecast. However, both PM10 and PM2.5 are forecast to remain in the Good AQI category this week.
