There was some dust getting kicked up in the area yesterday, but fortunately, the PM10 AQI did stay in the mid Moderate range. As for ozone and PM2.5, they both ended up in the Good AQI range yesterday.
Looking ahead, a cut-off low will hang out to the south of Arizona the next several days. Here in the Phoenix area, we anticipate generally calm weather conditions through the weekend. On Monday, there will be slight chances for rain to move into the area. As for the air quality, decent ventilation is forecast to keep ozone levels in the upper Good AQI range through the forecast period. Switching to particulates, PM10 is forecast to end up in the low Moderate range today, then drop into the Good range beginning tomorrow. And lastly, PM2.5 is forecast to stay in the Good range through the forecast period.
