Ozone and particulate values Wednesday were in the Good AQI and we expect that trend to continue moving forward. However, we expect PM2.5 to trend upward for the weekend with additional fireplace usage.
Moving forward, we expect particulate values to remain a bit elevated without any significant change in the weather. PM10 values may subside a bit for the weekend with less industrial activity. Winds are expected to remain mostly light and variable through this forecast period without any influence from a significant weather system.
Upper level troughing holds over the Baja Peninsula through Sunday before moving east. Ridging then builds over the Southwestern U.S. for the upcoming week with dry weather and a resurgence of mild temperatures.
