A low pressure system tapping into some tropical moisture will lead to multiple rounds of showers and isolated thunderstorms today into Tuesday night. The main time frame will be tonight through Tuesday afternoon. There will also be breezy to windy conditions at times. and much cooler temperatures. Dry and stable conditions return Wednesday through Friday with a gradual warming trend.
Cloudiness today and Tuesday is expected to keep peak 8 hour average Ozone levels in the Good range. With clearer skies Wednesday, levels approach the Moderate range before decreasing a bit Thursday and Friday due to easterly breeziness.
24 hour average Particulate levels are expected to remain in the Good category with rainfall having a particularly beneficial effect on PM10 (dust) helping to stabilize soils. Good ventilation will also be of help and will aid daily average PM2.5 (combustion particles) in remaining in the Good category.
