A low pressure system centered over northern California will lead to another breezy to windy afternoon today. As the system begins to move eastward, there will be less breeziness Friday. High temperatures will be below normal. High pressure begins to slowly build over the region on Saturday and a light wind pattern will take hold for several days. There will also be a warming trend.
Peak 8 hour average Ozone is anticipated to remain just within the Good range today and Friday then trend upward into the Moderate range Saturday through Monday.
Though there may be some brief, localized pockets of dust near farm fields this afternoon. the 24 hour average PM10 levels are anticipated to be in the upper part of the Good range. As days with lighter winds settle in, daily average PM10 values are anticipated to increase a little bit into the low Moderate range due to decreased ventilation allowing for more build up of dust from agricultural activities (mainly in the mornings).
Daily average PM2.5 values are expected to remain in the low range.
