High pressure over the region continues to bring very hot temperatures. The National Weather Service has an Extreme Heat Warning in effect through Thursday. As for the air quality, ozone and PM10 ended up in the Good AQI range, while PM2.5 reached the Moderate category.
Looking ahead, we don't expect ozone levels to change too much. We are forecasting ozone to continue hovering around the upper Good to lower Moderate range. As for PM10, it is possible we'll see some thunderstorm outflows reach into the area over the coming days. However, we don't expect a whole lot of dust here in Tucson. Overall, we are forecasting PM10 and PM2.5 to be in the Good AQI range through the forecast period.
