Around midnight last night, brief blowing dust occurred, but it was quickly followed by rain. That's why, so far this morning, PM10 (dust) and PM2.5 (smoke) levels have been running low.
It's nice and humid this morning, with dewpoints comfortably (or uncomfortably) in the 60s. As moisture sticks around, storm/rain chances will remain in the forecast the next couple days. However, coverage of storms/rain will decrease after today. We also can't rule out the possibility of winds from distant thunderstorms to the east moving into the area in the evenings/nights.
Given the recent rain, PM10 and PM2.5 should generally stay low. However, ozone levels could creep up into the Moderate AQI category, especially when skies are sunny and winds are light.
Check back again tomorrow morning for the next update!
