The monsoon will remain alive over the next few days, as moisture--the fuel for thunderstorms--remains in place over southeastern Arizona. At least over the next 24 hours, we'll also have the help of a small disturbance in the upper atmosphere, which will help to support thunderstorms. Tonight could actually end up being active, because of the timing of the aforementioned disturbance.
What happens storm-wise beyond tomorrow morning will heavily depend on what happens today/tonight. So, we'll have to take this a day at a time. Nevertheless, more storm activity will be possible later this week.
Air quality-wise, this past weekend's rain (and rain before that, for that matter), will help to keep PM10 (dust) levels down. Any rain today will also do the same. However, we can't rule out elevated PM10 levels from morning local activity.
For now, PM10 is forecast in the Good AQI category.
