The furthest east monitor in our forecast area, Queen Valley, reached the upper Moderate AQI range. However, the rest of the network stayed in the upper Good to lower Moderate range. As for particulates, both PM10 and PM2.5 easily stayed in the Good AQI range.
Looking ahead, we expect the Queen Valley monitor to continue having the highest ozone levels due to persistent westerly winds each day. We are forecasting that far east valley area to stay in the upper Moderate range, with the more central and west Phoenix areas will likely be quite a bit lower.
Switching to particulates, we did see some brief dust move through this morning from thunderstorm outflows, but it dropped back down quickly. It looks like PM10 will still manage to stay in the Good AQI category today. And lastly, PM2.5 should remain in the Good AQI category as well through the forecast period.
