Showers and thunderstorms moved through the area yesterday, which helped lower pollution levels. All pollutants ended up in the Good AQI range yesterday. Weather conditions will now begin to settle down with sunny skies expected the next several days. Temperatures will continue to be cool, but there will be an upward trend over the coming days.
As for the air quality, ozone and PM10 are forecast to stay in the Good AQI range through the forecast period. PM10 will trend up through the period as conditions dry out though. As for PM2.5, we are forecasting it to rebound back into the low Moderates beginning today. Cool overnight temperatures will likely result in a decent amount of fireplace activity.
