Thursday's air quality readings showed ozone and particulates holding in the Moderate AQI range. Both ozone and particulate values will display some variability over this forecast period.
Ozone concentrations will change from day to day, largely influenced by cloud cover and wind patterns. Additional cloud cover may slow or limit ozone development, which is expected for Saturday and Sunday. In addition, winds on Sunday should aid in dispersing ozone. Overall, ozone levels are expected to remain no higher than the Moderate AQI category through the week and weekend.
Regarding PM10 (dust), Sunday stands out as the primary concern. Stronger easterly to southeasterly winds may activate localized sources of blowing dust, especially during the morning hours, supporting Moderate AQI levels.
Outside of these breezier intervals, PM10 concentrations will be more locally driven. PM2.5 (smoke) levels are expected to generally mirror the behavior of PM10.
