An Ozone High Pollution Advisory is in effect for Maricopa County today.
The valley continues to see stagnant conditions, allowing for particulate matter to build up during more active periods. Ozone levels and surface temperatures are also above average for the year due to high pressure refusing to exit the region.
This trend will carry on through the weekend and into the start of next week.
By mid-week, chances for weak disturbances to move through the region will increase. The hope is for some relief from the above average temperatures and for ozone to drop back down to more normal for the year. But we will have to wait for a few more days.
Stay hydrated and have a great weekend.
