High pressure continues to influence the region, which will likely continue to result in elevated ozone levels. We still have the ozone High Pollution Advisory in effect for today. After today, we are forecasting just enough ventilation to keep ozone levels in the upper Moderate AQI range.
As for particulates, PM10 is forecast to stay in the Moderate AQI range through the forecast period. There will be thunderstorm activity over eastern and southern Arizona over the coming days, which if strong enough could send outflows into the Phoenix area. Right now there are indications of a strong outflow moving into the area late Friday or early Saturday morning. However, that is still too far out to have much confidence. As for PM2.5, it is forecast to stay in the Good AQI range through the forecast period.
