Primary air pollutant in the Tappahannock area:
OZONE - 37 Good
Enjoy your outdoor activities.
USG ozone conditions are expected Thursday as light but noticeable smoke from a wildfire in Ocean County New Jersey has modified the regional airmass. By Friday, however, southerly flow will tap into cleaner marine air while pushing lingering smoke out of the region. Meanwhile a developing low pressure area and associated front will track eastward toward the state. Increased cloud coverage and cleaner air will bring ozone and fine particulates back into the Good AQI range across the state. Spotty showers and thunderstorms are expected on Saturday as the frontal system moves through the area. Continued Good air quality is expected statewide. Windy conditions on continued northwest flow ushering in a clean Canadian airmass Sunday will keep Good air quality in forecast.
