The heat dome remains in place over the Southern Plains and will bring southerly flow and hot temperatures throughout the week. This southerly flow will continue to transport Saharan dust from the Gulf, causing particulate levels to remain in the Moderate category for most of the week. Ozone will flirt with the Moderate category for the metro areas and western Oklahoma through Friday. A cold front is expected to move through Friday afternoon and shift winds to a northerly pattern for the weekend, clearing out existing ozone and particulate buildup.
