Other Pollutants:
PM2.5 - 27 Good
Northern Regions: Ozone was all good Wednesday and Thursday, and PM2.5 was good Wednesday and moderate Thursday for majority of the area. Friday through Sunday temperatures will be in the low to mid 80's with the temperatures dropping Monday into the upper 70's to low 80's. Dewpoints are on the higher end in the low to mid 70's Friday, upper 70's to low 80's on Saturday and drop throughout the day on Sunday as the front lifts through. Prior to the front dewpoints will be mid to upper 70's statewide and by the afternoon will be in the upper 60's to low 70's. Monday dewpoints are forecast to be in the mid 60's. Friday will be mostly cloudy with the chance of showers and thunderstorms with winds from the ENE 0-10 MPH. Saturday showers and thunderstorms are likely with winds from the SW 0-10 MPH. There is a marginal risk of severe weather for NW and N-Central Indiana with slight chances for the NE. Sunday there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms as the front lifts and winds from the W 0-10 MPH and a marginal risk of severe weather for all. Monday the ridge building in will bring mostly sunny conditions. Friday mixing heights are forecast to be around 3,400 ft, Saturday around 2,500 ft., Sunday 2,800 ft., and Monday 4,000 ft. The NOAA 06Z BC model for PM2.5 forecasts moderate levels for Friday through Sunday. The Canadian model shows moderate levels through Sunday due to wildfire smoke. Moderate seems possible despite the frontal systems due to the wildfire smoke moving in from the west; it is entirely possible it could be a mix of good and moderate with the frontal systems and rain, but airing on the side of caution and going moderate. Going moderate Monday as well as the smoke is likely to move back in when the ridge builds back in late Sunday to Monday. The NOAA 06Z BC model for ozone predicts good levels Friday through Sunday for NE and N. Central, with moderate possible Sunday for NW but good levels otherwise. The Canadian model forecasts good Friday and Saturday for all with good for NE and central Sunday and moderate NW. With the rain and moving fronts in addition to higher dewpoints, good seems likely most of the time, but going to follow model guidance and go with moderate for NW Sunday and moderate statewide Monday as high pressure ridging already began to build in later Sunday into Monday.
