In addition, patchy fog will aid particle formation early in the day. Therefore, AQI levels will remain low-Moderate. Wednesday, as a surface low-pressure system impacts the Great Lakes, moderate southwesterly winds and increased mixing will allow particle levels to decrease. However, regional pollutant carryover from the previous day will result in low-Moderate AQI levels. Thursday, periods of light easterly winds will develop ahead of an approaching low-pressure system, gradually recirculating regional pollutants into central Ohio. Therefore, AQI levels will remain low-Moderate. Friday, as a surface low-pressure system moves through the Great Lakes, gusty southwesterly winds will disperse pollutants and bring cleaner, drier air into central Ohio, lowering AQI levels to Good. Saturday, moderate west-northwesterly winds will continue to aid dispersion behind a departing cold front. As a result, AQI levels will remain Good.
