Other Pollutants:
PM2.5 - 32 Good
PM10 - 7 Good
Good air quality is being observed area wide today in the wake of last night’s cold frontal passage. With surface high pressure building overhead then drifting offshore and causing winds to turn southerly then southwesterly, particle pollution concentrations are expected to climb back into the lower Code Yellow range. Ozone concentrations may also reach the lower Code Yellow range on Monday and Tuesday with a dry air mass in place, plenty of sunshine, and warm temperatures. Additionally, at least some smoke from seasonal prescribed burning activities and ongoing wildfires is expected to be in the air mass and this can help enhance ozone production.
