Other Pollutants:
PM10 - 11 Good
Air quality levels have fallen into the upper Code GREEN range today as high pressure has nudged in from the north to allow for a cleaner and drier air mass to temporarily settle over the Triad today. Skies are expected to remain partly sunny into the evening, and will likely be persistently cloudy tomorrow as the ridge of high pressure moves offshore. This should allow for warmer and moist air to override the drier air mass at the surface, allowing for a cold air wedge to develop that should trap pollutants close to the surface and lead to Code YELLOW AQI for Sunday. Zonal flow aloft should allow for the wedge to erode Monday, leading to above normal temperatures for Monday and Tuesday. Weak high pressure over the Triad should keep the main storm track to the north and west, allowing for pollution particles to recirculate over the region and keep AQI Code YELLOW into mid-week.
