Daily Air Quality Forecast for Clemmons, North Carolina

Residual low level smoke from the western US and Canada, Tuesday, is leading to code YELLOW particle pollution. Ozone levels are much lower, though, and code GREEN, due to clouds, showers, and thunderstorms. A frontal boundary will swing through the Triad, later Tuesday, ushering cooler and drier air mass. Unfortunately, additional wildfire smoke will filter into the region, behind the boundary, Wednesday. Therefore, code YELLOW particle pollution can be expected to continue. By Thursday and Friday, the wildfire smoke will exit the region, helping particle pollution drop back to upper code GREEN or low code YELLOW. Ozone will remain lower and code GREEN, Wednesday, but warming temperatues and lower humidity will help to increase levels, Thursday and Friday back to upper code GREEN and/or low code YELLOW (GENTRY).
