Daily Air Quality Forecast for Bermuda Run, North Carolina

Periods of light to moderate showers and cloudy skies have kept air quality levels from rising out of the middle Code GREEN range this afternoon. Skies clear out tomorrow as the storm system that brought today's rain moves east, allowing ozone levels to creep up into the middle to upper Code GREEN range. Particle pollution will likely be slow to rise as winds remain fairly light tomorrow. However, upper-level ridging begins to strengthen over the southeastern United States Tuesday and Wednesday, leading to Code YELLOW AQI for particle pollution and possibly ozone, once low-level winds shift from west to southwesterly early Tuesday. Another storm system approaches from the west late Wednesday but will likely not have much of an influence on air quality levels other than some increased cloud cover during the late morning and afternoon.
