Primary air pollutant in the Kasson area:
PM2.5 - 55 Moderate
If you are unusually sensitive to particle pollution, consider reducing your activity level or shorten the amount of time you are active outdoors.
Good air quality remains in place across Minnesota this afternoon, due to increased mixing into very dry air aloft. As a result, humidity has decreased into the 50 to 70 percent range for many, despite temperatures in the 30s across snowpack. While humidity may rise tonight, which would promote the formation of more fine particle pollution, a cold front will quickly pass through the state by Saturday morning. Breezy winds will bring cooler air behind this front, and air pollution should remain low statewide. Green (good) AQI is forecast through the weekend. A rebound in temperatures by the new work-week will once again provide an opportunity for snow melt and increased humidity, so there is a window for potentially decreased air quality on Monday before breezy westerly winds spread across the state Tuesday.
