A strong ridge of high pressure will linger over the Eastern US Wednesday, helping to keep dew points elevated and temperatures unseasonably warm. This accompanied by overnight and early morning surface inversions will help to push much of the state into the low Moderate range for fine particulate pollution. Highest concentrations will be along the urban corridor during the early morning hours when mixing heights are at their lowest. By Thursday, a strong low pressure system will impact the region.
