Primary air pollutant in the Shenandoah area:
PM2.5 - 56 Moderate
If you are unusually sensitive to particle pollution, consider reducing your activity level or shorten the amount of time you are active outdoors.
Other Pollutants:
OZONE - 19 Good
PM10 - 24 Good
Monday, a broad area of surface high pressure positioned to the northeast of the state will produce light easterly winds, limiting dispersion. However, pollutant carryover will be low. In addition, mild temperatures will limit ozone development, allowing AQI levels to remain Good to high-Good. Tuesday and Wednesday, increasing clouds along with scattered showers and thunderstorms will limit ozone development over southwestern Louisiana. However, partly sunny skies and warming temperatures will aid ozone formation in southeastern Louisiana. Furthermore, easterly to southeasterly winds will transport thin regional smoke into the state, raising particle levels and ozone precursors. Therefore, AQI levels will increase to high-Good to low-Moderate in most locations.
