Thursday, a surface low pressure system will move across the northern Gulf, producing periods of moderate easterly to northerly winds and widespread rainfall. These conditions will effectively disperse pollutants, leading to Good AQI levels statewide. Friday, northerly winds will weaken throughout the day as surface high pressure builds in from the north, reducing dispersion and gradually transporting regional pollutants into Louisiana.
