Primary air pollutant in the Chrisman area:
OZONE - 44 Good
Enjoy your outdoor activities.
Central Regions: Ozone was Good for almost the entire past forecast period except Moderate at 3 sites on Friday. PM2.5 was mostly Good this past Friday and then a mixture of Good/Moderate for Saturday/Sunday. For today, scattered threats for showers and thunderstorms at times will continue ahead of a cold front through tonight. The high humidity will stay until the front moves through, and since skies will be partly sunny today some spots could see lower 90's for highs. Otherwise expect upper 80's to around 90 for high temperatures, with dew points in the mid to upper 70's. Winds will start out calm but then pick up out of the west southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Mixing heights will be 3000 ft this afternoon and 3500 ft tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow (Tuesday) will start out mostly cloudy, but will have decreasing clouds throughout the day. Dry and seasonable weather returns with high temperatures in the lower to mid-80's and with dew points falling into the mid 60's. North northwest winds will be 10 mph gusting to 20 mph. In terms of model guidance, for ozone the Canadian has Moderate for today/Good for tomorrow. The 06Z BC NOAA model is going with Good for both today and tomorrow. Think am going to lean closer to the NOAA model based on persistence and the forecast and go with Good for both days at both sites. As for PM2.5 the Canadian of course is depicting Good for both days, while the NOAA model is going with Moderate for today and Good for tomorrow. Will also lean towards persistence with this solution and go with Moderate for today, and then after the area gets cleaned out tomorrow and has breezy northerly winds, will go with Good for tomorrow.
