Daily Air Quality Forecast for San Martin, California

May 29 – June 2: As the low-pressure systems that brought the recent rains migrates to the east, expect some residual showers early Friday morning in some areas. As we enter the weekend, a zonal flow pattern will take over with onshore breezes and cooler temperatures. Beginning mid-week next week, modeling indicates a transition to a ridging pattern where we’ll see a slight increase in temperatures. Temperatures will range from the mid-50s to the mid-70s at the coast and low-50s to low-90s inland. Seasonal temperatures should keep ozone levels below State standards, therefore ozone AQIs will remain GOOD. Recent moisture should help keep PM10 AQIs in the GOOD range as well. As dry conditions develop, wildfires from around the state may influence local PM2.5 (smoke) AQIs and bring them to MODERATE levels. However, recent moisture should keep fire danger to a minimum for the time being.
