February 12 – February 16: As low-pressure moves off Thursday and Friday, expect diminishing precipitation probabilities and pleasant conditions. Beginning Saturday afternoon/evening another low-pressure system will move into the area and bring additional moisture. Expect >50% precipitation probabilities at least until mid-week next week. Expected rain totals by Wednesday are around 5”-6” in higher elevations and 3”-4” at the coast. Temperatures will range from the mid-40s to the low-60s at the coast and high-30s to mid-60s inland. Ozone levels should remain below State standards; therefore, ozone AQIs will remain GOOD. Moisture should keep PM10 (dust) AQIs in the Salinas Valley at GOOD as well. As low-pressure reenters the region and precipitation increases, decent ventilation should help clear out any PM2.5 (smoke) improving PM2.5 AQIs regionwide to GOOD.
