Daily Air Quality Forecast for King City, California

June 12 – June 16: High pressure building over the region will last through the weekend promoting warmer temperatures. However, onshore flow should allow for moderate infiltration of marine stratus to coastal and coastal adjacent areas overnight. This will effectively moderate coastal temperatures at least until it burns off by late morning. Inland areas such as San Benito County and southern Monterey County will see most of the daytime heating. There are no current heat advisories, however, be on the lookout as we enter the weekend. Temperatures will range from the mid-50s to the low-70s at the coast and high-50s to low-100s inland. Despite warm inland temperatures, ozone levels will remain below State standards, therefore ozone AQIs will remain GOOD. As high pressure persists, PM2.5 AQIs could reach MODERATE. Regarding the Tracy, CA warehouse fire, as of 6/12 at 8am, high altitude smoke is not expected to affect ground level AQIs. Finally, low wind speeds should keep PM10 (dust) AQIs at GOOD.
