Daily Air Quality Forecast for Gonzales, California

April 16 – April 20: The Central Coast is experiencing a short break from the unsettled weather earlier this week. Thursday through Saturday should remain pleasant with mild temperatures and scattered clouds. Beginning on Sunday, modeling indicates a closed low-pressure system will develop off the coast and migrate inland. This will bring moisture to the region and last through Wednesday. Cumulatively, expect over 1” at higher elevations. Temperatures will range from the high-50s to the high-60s at the coast and low-40s to high-70s inland. Ozone levels should remain below State standards, therefore ozone AQIs will remain GOOD. Moist conditions will keep PM10 (dust) AQIs in the Salinas Valley at GOOD as well. As low-pressure progresses, expect ventilation to remain adequate enough to maintain PM2.5 AQIs (smoke) at GOOD levels.
